Woodfired Lidded Jar no. 4

A graceful, one-of-a-kind jar glazed in soft cream and warm ochre, finished with a ring of rounded beads and an inset lid crowned by a gentle ruffle. The fluted edge gives it a sense of movement and presence, while the hand applied slip design adds a flowing texture that is subtle and full of life. Wood firing gave it subtle gradients of warm amber and touches of metallic gray.

Designed to look beautiful and work hard, this jar is food-safe and generously sized for storing pantry staples like coffee, flour, or dried herbs - but it also shines outside the kitchen. Use it to hold charging cords, remotes, or soaps in the bathroom; keep it by the entry for stashing keys and mail; or bring it into the studio to store brushes, sponges, or twine. A practical piece with a sculptural spirit.
