Woodfired Lidded Jar no. 3

A soft ruffle frames the top of this lidded jar, giving it a sense of movement and presence. The inset lid fits neatly inside, finished with a sturdy handle for easy lifting. The woodfiring process has brought out a subtle depth and warmth to the white glaze splashed over the surface.

Designed to look beautiful and work hard, this jar is ideal for storing flour, granola, cookies (for humans or 4 legged friends), fermenting veggies…hiding scrunchies, remotes, charging cords, soaps, hand towels…the uses are endless. The form balances utility with subtle ornament, making it as display-worthy as it is practical.

Individually handmade on the potters wheel, hand decorated in our Boonsboro, MD studio, then lovingly wood-fired at Sherman Ceramics in Wolfsville, MD.
