Poppy Pod Vase

Lumpy and lovely, that’s what I say. This vase was built from coils of stoneware clay slowly stacked and sculpted into a form that echoes nature, embraces abstraction, and seeks imperfection. The potters wheel lends itself to symmetry - sometimes it’s necessary to leave modern tools behind and explore where the hands and the clay wants to take you.
